New Delhi, September 25 (IANS): Delhi will witness a magnificent performance of Ayodhya’s Ram Temple – with an area of 1200 meters and a height of 79 feet, a grand Ram Temple complex is in the works in the nation’s capital.

This imposing set of Ram temples will be the main stage for ‘Lav Kush’ Ramlila – one of the largest Ramlila in the country to be held at the Red Fort. Ramlila is a representation of the Ramayana epic through a series of scenes including narration, recital, dialogue and songs. What makes the occasion more special this time around is that this Ramlila will feature three serving Union ministers in different roles. Arjun Ram Meghwal, Fagan Singh Kulaste and Ashwini Choubey will show their skills beyond the realm of politics.

Moreover, a dozen Bollywood actors will also be part of this performance. Ravana will be played by well-known actor Akhilendra Mishra, who played a big role in Salman Khan’s starring Ready and rose to popularity on Indian television with the role of Kroor Singh. Raghav Tiwari, seen in many movies including Mary Kom, Chalo Dilli, Hamari Wali Good Newwz, The Pushkar Lodge, Ranthambore, will play the role of Ram. The famous Indian singer Jasvir Singh Jassi will also play an important role in this Ramlila.

Speaking exclusively to IANS, Luv Kush Ramlila Chairman Arjun Kumar said Ashwini Choubey, Minister of State for Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, will play the role of Maharishi Vishwamitra. Faggan Singh Kulaste, Minister of State for Steel and Rural Development, will play the role of Nishad Raj. And the Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs and Culture, Arjun Ram Meghwal will perform and present a bhajan in this Ramlila.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President Murmu were invited as chief guests on the day of Dussehra. According to Gaurav Suri, Vice President of Ramleela, not only eminent politicians but well-known Bollywood stars and TV personalities will also be seen in prominent roles in this Ramlila.

It should be noted that Devlina Chatterjee played significant roles, including Sita, in many religious series. Asrani will play the role of Narad. The famous Indian singer Jasvir Singh Jassi will be Meghnad.

BJP MP for Lok Sabha and former Delhi state BJP chairman Manoj Tiwari will be seen as the boatman who takes Lord Ram across the Ganges. TV actor Arun Mandola will be Laxman. Renowned artist Nirbhay Wadhwa has been cast for the role of Hanuman.

Senior member of Luv Kush Ramlila, Ranjan Chopra said former Delhi mayor Avtar Singh will play Kumbhakaran while BJP leader and Delhi Assembly opposition leader Vijender Gupta will play the father of Sita, Janak. Aam Aadmi party leader Brijesh Goyal will be seen in the role of Angad in this Ramlila.

South Indian superstar and hero of one of the country’s biggest blockbuster movies, “Bahubali”, Prabhas will kill Ravana in this Ramlila which will be held at the Red Fort. Arjun Kumar hopes Prime Minister Modi will burn Ravana’s effigy on the occasion of Dussehra, during which actor Prabhas will also be present with the Prime Minister.

However, the Prime Minister’s office has yet to confirm his attendance. In a situation where the Prime Minister cannot come, then Prabhas will burn Ravana’s effigy. Prabhas will join Ramlila from Delhi on Dussehra day due to preparation for his upcoming movie Aadi Purush.

After the pandemic, it will be the first time that Ramlila will be organized on such a large scale. This adds significantly to the enthusiasm of organizers, who say thousands of people are expected for the event. With this in mind, adequate security arrangements are also made on a large scale.

New Delhi:

The BJP, focused on national elections and the 2024 national elections, today announced new party roles for sacked leaders as chief ministers and central ministers. This included new officials for states whose chief ministers are big drivers towards uniting the opposition for a challenge to Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Today’s orders from BJP leader JP Nadda say former Gujarat chief minister Vijay Rupani will take care of Punjab and Chandigarh. Punjab, currently ruled by Arvind Kejriwal’s AAP, is a big project for the BJP. He couldn’t do much in Assembly polls earlier this year – fighting alone – as he was let down by his senior associate Akali Dal over farm laws which were scrapped after massive protests .

In Haryana, the former chief minister of Tripura, Biplab Kumar Deb, will take charge. Here, the party retained power but lost ground in the latest polls in 2019. The next assembly elections are due in 2024, but after the Lok Sabha contest.

As for the former union ministers, Prakash Javadekar obtains Kerala, where the BJP is struggling to find a place. And Mahesh Sharma gets Tripura, where the party is in power but faces polls early next year. Mamata Banerjee’s Trinamool Congress, after defeating the BJP in West Bengal last year, is seeking to expand into Tripura, whose majority population speaks Bengali.

In West Bengal, the BJP named former Bihar minister Mangal Pandey in charge. The head of the party’s IT unit, Amit Malviya, will be co-responsible.

Despite a defeat last year, the BJP increased its seats in the assembly. He continues to pursue an aggressive policy here, especially since Mamata Banerjee is one of the main drivers of a national front against the BJP.

Mr Pandey will work with Sunil Bansal, who oversees Bengal in addition to Odisha and Telangana.

Bihar will be under the responsibility of the party’s general secretary, Vinod Tawde, who previously oversaw Haryana. The BJP here is recovering from a dumping by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, who revived the JDU’s alliance with Tejashwi Yadav’s RJD and Congress last month. He was recently in Delhi to broaden the anti-BJP front.

In neighboring Jharkhand, Laxmikant Vajpayee will be responsible for the BJP. Hemant Soren’s government here has accused the BJP of ‘dirty politics’ to remove Jharkhand Mukti Morcha and Congress MPs.

The BJP leadership’s confidence in senior leader Om Mathur, considered a confidant of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, remains intact. Having recently been nominated for the powerful Central Election Commission, Mr Mathur will also take charge of Chhattisgarh, one of the few states where Congress is in power. The elections are next year.

Sambit Patra, the prominent television face of the BJP, will be the coordinator for the northeastern states. National Party Secretary Rituraj Sinha will serve as co-coordinator. Among the officials who have been shortlisted are Arun Singh in Rajasthan and Murlidhar Rao in Madhya Pradesh.

The party also shared the list, in Hindi, on Twitter.

Most of the leaders who have been given new responsibilities have not held any position within the party, but have been in charge of elections before.

Sources say the idea is that they will not be weighed down by party positions as they focus entirely on expanding the BJP’s base and winning elections in specific states.

Shillong, August 26: Meghalaya’s horticulture minister, Banteidor Lyngdoh, recently contacted the central government asking for help from farmers in the state.

While meeting with Union Minister of State for Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare, Narendra Singh Tomar on Thursday in Delhi, he briefed him on the needs of farmers.

During the same meeting, he also briefed the Union Minister on the decision taken by the State on the appropriate manure to strengthen the crops as per the Horticulture Department Office Order of August 9, 2022 .

Earlier, on August 23, 2022, he also met with Bhagwanth Khuba, Union Minister of State for Chemicals and Fertilizers, in which he talked about giving the state its share in regards to manure and fertilizers to state farmers.

Meghalaya Government’s Department of Horticulture recently issued an ordinance stating that farmers will be able to reuse fertilizers like Urea, DAP, MOP and SSP after 8 years after the previous state government stopped to subsidize manure and fertilizer for farmers since June 12, 2014 to address the health problems caused by such manure and fertilizer in the state.

The BJP is using money and muscle power to overthrow the JMM-Congress alliance, alleged Avinash Pande, the Congress General Secretary in charge of Jharkhand. BJP’s new target is Jharkhand, he added

The current political crisis in Jharkhand, caused by the BJP, also comes at a time when the JMM and Congress are finding it increasingly difficult to work together within the ruling alliance.

The Congress party on Sunday July 31 alleged that Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, some central ministers and ministers and officials of the Union Ministry of Justice were all working in tandem to destabilize the government JMM-Congress coalition in Jharkhand.

The Grand Old Party’s allegations follow the interception of three of its Jharkhand legislators by Bengal police late Saturday night in Howrah, with a huge sum of cash hidden in their vehicle. Acting Congress President Sonia Gandhi has suspended the three MPs – Irfan Ansari, Rajesh Kachhap and Naman Bixal Kongari – from senior members of Congress with immediate effect.

Shortly after Bengal police intercepted the vehicle carrying the three MPs at the Panchla-Ranihati intersection in Howrah and arrested the lawmakers, the head of the Congressional Communications Department, Jairam Ramesh, tweeted: “The operation BJP’s Lotus in Jharkhand is on display tonight in Howrah. The game plan of ‘Hum Do’ in Delhi is to do in Jharkhand what they did in Maharashtra by installing ED duo”.

The ‘Hum Do’ mentioned by Ramesh in the tweet was a thinly veiled reference to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Secretary Amit Shah, whom Congress has repeatedly accused of conspiring to overthrow state governments led by rival BJP parties. Similarly, the “ED” mentioned by the Congress General Secretary was a dig at Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde and his deputy, Devendra Fadnavis, who brought the rebel Shiv Sena faction and the BJP back to power last month after toppling the Uddhav Thackeray’s ruling MVA coalition led the Shiv Sena, Sharad Pawar’s CPN and the Congress party.

On Sunday, Avinash Pande, the Congress General Secretary in charge of Jharkhand, told reporters in New Delhi that the BJP was trying to destabilize the Hemant Soren-led government in the eastern state by offering huge sums of money members of the ruling coalition. or threatening them with central agency investigations had been ongoing for several months.

In conversation with The Federal, Pande said, “Also a few months ago senior BJP leaders approached our MPs with offers…we filed an FIR against which the investigation is still ongoing. But, the BJP has relentlessly pursued its agenda of democracy assassination using money and muscle power in its attempt to overthrow any non-BJP led government across the country…”

“We saw it recently in Maharashtra and in the failed attempt in Goa, where despite winning the elections, the BJP still wanted to smash our legislative party by engineering defections…they came to power using the same tactic in the passed in Madhya Pradesh, Karnataka and several other states as well and now Jharkhand is their new target,” Pande added.

Pande alleged that the Assam CM, “which had played a key role in the BJP’s plan to overthrow the MVA government in Maharashtra and had hosted rebel Shiv Sena MPs in a hotel in Guwahati for weeks”, was now in “direct contact with our deputies”. in Jharkhand.

“Central Ministers are contacting our MPs with offers of money and Ministers and legal department officials are threatening our MPs with ED and CBI investigations against them… the President of Congress has suspended the three MPs, who have been caught with money. Howrah money from party members and a stern warning of similar action has been given to all MPs from other parties in Jharkhand who may be in contact with the BJP or these three MPs,” Pande said.

The party’s Jharkhand official claimed that Ansari, Kachhap and Kongari were also ‘used by the BJP’ to approach other Congress MPs in the state with offers of money to move to the saffron side . Kumar Jaimangal, the Congress MP for Bermo, filed a fresh complaint against police in Ranchi on Sunday, alleging that the three MPs approached him with an offer of ₹10 crore to defect to the BJP.

Jaimangal alleged that three MPs wanted him to join them in Calcutta and also meet Sarma in Guwahati to further discuss the BJP’s plan to overthrow the Soren-led Jharkhand government. Interestingly, in July last year, Kongari, a first term MP from Kolebira constituency of Jharkhand, who comes from a poor tribal family, claimed that he had been approached by the BJP with an offer of ₹1 crore to help overthrow the party led by Soren. government.

Jharkhand police had also arrested three people – NP Mahato, Amit Singh and Abhishek Dubey – with alleged links to the BJP for offering money to Kongari and Jaimangal for inciting them to overthrow the JMM-Congress government.

Predictably, the BJP denied the Congress allegations and claimed it had “nothing to do” with the money found in the vehicle Ansari, Kachhap and Kongari were traveling in.

Whether the BJP has its sights set on toppling the Soren-led ruling coalition in the tribal-dominated state has been the subject of speculation for some time now. The Federal had first reported in April and then again earlier this month that the Saffron Party was in contact with several congressional deputies from the eastern state, while parallel negotiations were also underway between the BJP and Hemant Soren to convince the latter to break his alliance with Congress and form a new government in partnership with the saffron party.

Congress sources say his MPs in Jharkhand have been repeatedly approached by BJP leaders with defection offers. What appears to have prevented the mass defection from the Grand Old Party, sources say, are factional differences among the 16-member bloc of Jharkhand’s Congress legislators.

A senior Congress leader from Jharkhand said The Federal that the BJP has only 25 MPs in Jharkhand while the majority in the state assembly is 41.

“To come to power, it would either take more than two-thirds of our MPs defecting or they would have to get a significant number of MPs from Congress and JMM… it may sound ironic, but what seems to have saved us so far now is that the Jharkhand Congress, like in any other state, is a hugely divided house…”

Read also : After Maharashtra, will it be Soren’s Jharkhand?

“Unlike MP, where (Jyotiraditya) Scindia might walk away with more than 20 MPs in BJP, we only have 16 MPs in Jharkhand and no party leader gets the blind loyalty of more than 5 or 6 MPs; thus, a faction led by Furqan Ansari (father of Irfan Ansari) will not want to be on the same side as MPs loyal to (party leader) Alamgir Alam or those loyal to Rameshwar Oraon will not stand alongside MPs loyal to Subodh Kant Sahai. For the BJP to stage a mass defection, it will either have to urge all faction leaders to onboard their supporters or individually approach Congress and JMM MPs to defect,” he explained.

The current political crisis in Jharkhand also comes at a time when JMM and Congress are finding it increasingly difficult to work together in the ruling alliance, even as CM Hemant Soren has been beleaguered by challenges to his own political career due to allegations. , currently under investigation by the Electoral Commission or subject to PIL pending the judgment of the Ranchi High Court.

Congressional lawmakers have repeatedly criticized Soren for his bossiness and claimed the CM is deliberately trying to expand his JMM into traditional congressional strongholds in the state. A few months ago, things got to such a point that Pande advised congressmen to cut off all communication with Soren.

Relations between the two parties had only begun to normalize last month, when Soren’s decision to break ranks with Congress and other opposition parties in the presidential elections and vote for the NDA candidate , Draupadi Murmu, again widened the trust deficit between the allies.

There have also been rumors, as reported The Federal earlier this month, that the BJP is trying to convince Soren to break the JMM’s alliance with Congress. The Jharkhand CM faces an immediate threat to his presidency and continued tenure as a lawmaker since the Election Commission is investigating a complaint against him for awarding himself a mining lease in the state in flagrant violation of the provisions of the law. PR.

If the allegations against Soren are proven by the EC, Soren could be disbarred as an MP and thereby also lose his Chief Ministerial Presidency. Two PILs on allegations of corruption committed by the CM are also awaiting trial in the High Court in Ranchi, while several of his close aides are being investigated for corruption by central agencies.

Kerala PWD Minister PA Mohammed Riyas on Wednesday mocked visiting Union ministers in the state, urging them to count and fill potholes on national highways instead of simply click on photos of nearly completed projects and post them to their social media pages. His criticism comes a day after Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan slammed External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar’s recent visit to the state and inspection of the Kazhakuttom flyover on National Highway 66 here, which is under construction.

While speaking during Question Time in the State Assembly, Riyas, also Vijayan’s son-in-law, blamed the Center for potholes on national highways, maintained by the National Highways Authority of India. .

Without naming Union Minister V Muraleedharan, he said there were more potholes on national roads than press meetings called by him.

”There is a person who was born in our state, played and grew up here, became a member of Rajya Sabha from another state, and is now a union minister…that’s a good thing. He calls press briefings most days…that’s also a good thing…But, there are indeed more potholes on the national highways in India, including those in Kerala, than the number of press meetings he organizes,” Riyas said. .

In an apparent reference to Jaishankar’s recent inspection at the Kazhakuttom flyover, he said several union ministers visit Kerala these days and leave after taking pictures of projects ready to be inaugurated and posting them on social networks. “We are of the view that these ministers should take responsibility for counting and filling potholes on national roads under the National Highway Authority,” the minister added.

Delighted with the success of its National Executive Committee meeting and a mega public rally here, the BJP is accelerating its preparations for the Telangana elections.

The central leadership has now appointed union ministers Nirmala Sitharaman, Jyotiraditya Scindia, Purushottam Rupala, Pralhad Joshi, Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi, Mahendra Nath Pandey and a few others as “Pravas ministers” for all 14 of the 17 Lok Sabha constituencies in Telangana.

As part of the Lok Sabha Pravas Yojana, the BJP’s public outreach program in constituencies where it suffered defeat in the 2019 elections, ministers’ visits aim to explain to voters the central government grants and programs that directly or indirectly benefit them.

“The TRS government claims each program as its own while it is the Center that funds several welfare initiatives like food grains under the Garib Kalyan Yojana, gas connections under Ujjwala. The interactions of the union ministers would help the Telangana public know what the Modi government is doing for them,” said Premender Reddy, General Secretary of Telangana BJP. DH.

The BJP had won four Lok Sabha seats in the 2019 elections – Secunderabad, Karimnagar, Nizamabad and Adilabad. The Pravas list however includes Adilabad (ST reserved). “It is because the constituency dominated by the tribes is very large and we still need to strengthen the party there. In any case, we plan to cover the other three LS constituencies as well in later phases,” said Reddy, who is the Pravas Yojana program organizer here.

The constituencies of Secunderabad, Karimnagar, Nizamabad Lok Sabha are represented respectively by Union Tourism Minister Kishan Reddy, BJP Head of State Bandi Sanjay and Dharmapuri Aravind, an outspoken leader who had defeated the minister’s daughter in chief K Chandrasekhar Rao, K Kavitha.

According to party leaders, ministers are expected to tour their respective constituencies twice a month until the 2024 elections, staying for two nights each time. Pravas tours are expected to begin later this week. The 14 segments of Parliament are divided into four groups, with four central ministers in charge of their responsibility.

The strategy is to cover all assembly segments falling under these Lok Sabha seats, in time for the 2023 assembly elections which lie in between. The BJP operates in Telangana with the aim of toppling Rao’s TRS from power.

The BJP has in fact started connecting its national leaders with the public in Telangana using its NEC meeting in Hyderabad. Leaders from other states, including central ministers, former CMs, were sent to the 119 Telangana assembly constituencies to interact with residents. For example, former CM Biplab Deb from Tripura traveled to Adilabad in the northernmost part of Telangana while former CM Vijay Rupani from Gujarat was in Jadcherla, a southern constituency of Telangana. Tamil Nadu BJP leader K Annamalai was in Nizamabad.

Hyderabad: Members of the National Executive Committee (NEC) of the BJP, including Union Ministers and former chief ministers from various states are visiting Telangana Assembly constituencies to strengthen party cadres ahead of next year’s Assembly elections.

Ahead of the national executive meeting starting in Hyderabad on Saturday, leaders fanned out in various parts of the state to kick off the party’s preparations for next year’s assembly elections. They urged party cadres to strive to bring the party to power in the state.

During the two-day stay on Thursday and Friday, the leaders interacted with local party cadres and leaders to understand the issues in each of the Assembly’s 119 constituencies. A party leader said feedback from the exercise will be used to prepare the party’s strategy for the 2023 election.

Central leaders discussed with local leaders how to strengthen the party in Assembly constituencies. They advised local leaders to reach out to the people and explain the programs implemented by the Modi government at the Center over the past eight years.

BJP leaders have also advised party cadres to highlight the failures of the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) government in the state and its attempts to project central government projects as its own projects.

The leaders during their visit to the Assembly constituencies in the districts stayed with party cadres and dined with them.

Central Ministers Kiran Rejiju and Anurag Singh Thakur visited Assembly constituencies around Hyderabad to interact with local party leaders and cadres. They expressed their confidence that the BJP will come to power in the state whenever the elections are held.

Addressing a party meeting at Mallapur housing council settlement in Hyderabad, former Chief Minister of Jharkhand Raghubar Das said the people of Telangana no longer trust Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao.

Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya, BJP Uttar Pradesh Unit Chief Swatandra Dev Singh, Former Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Raman Singh, Central Ministers Giriraj Singh, Nityanand Rai , Union Minister of State BL Varma were among the key leaders who visited various assembly constituencies in Hyderabad.

Union Minister of State for Rural Development and Steel Faggan Singh Kulaste visited Nizamabad district. He said every BJP worker should work hard to bring the party to power in the state.

Union Minister of State for Defense and Tourism Ajay Bhatt visited Armoor constituency and spoke with workers and party leaders. He said providing corruption-free governance is the party’s goal.

Former Chief Minister of Tripura, Biplab Kumar Deb visited Adilabad. He said the BJP would question all undemocratic actions of the TRS government.

The BJP could win just one assembly seat in Telangana in the 2018 elections. However, the party surprised everyone by capturing four seats from Lok Sabha in 2019.

Saffron party also snatched two Assembly seats (Dubbak and Huzurabad) in the by-elections held in 2020 and 2021. Its performance was also impressive in the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) elections in 2020 as it improved its count in the 150 members. body at 48, a big jump from the mere four seats it had before.

The BJP, which is aggressively attacking the TRS government, sees itself as the only viable alternative to the TRS. Party heads of state are confident that Telangana will become the party’s second gateway to South India after Karnataka.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi chaired a high-level discussion on Monday on the situation in Ukraine and the trapped Indian students caught in the crossfire of the Russian invasion.

According to official sources, several Union ministers may travel to neighboring countries of Ukraine to oversee the evacuation of students. Hardeep Puri, Jyotiraditya Scindia, Kiren Rijiju and VK Singh are among the ministers expected to travel for the mission.

Sources suggest that Jyotiraditya Scindia will look into Romania and Moldova, Kiren Rijiju will go to Slovakia, Hardeep Singh Puri will go to Hungary and General VK Singh will be in Poland to handle the evacuation.

Meanwhile, two Air India evacuation planes from Bucharest, Romania, and Budapest, Hungary, carrying 490 Indians stranded in Ukraine, landed at Delhi airport on Sunday morning.

India began the evacuation of its residents trapped amid the Russian military incursion into Ukraine on Saturday, with the first evacuation flight, AI1944, bringing 219 people from Bucharest to Mumbai in the evening.

The second evacuation plane, AI1942, left Bucharest with 250 Indians and arrived at Delhi airport around 2:45 a.m. Sunday, authorities said. Authorities said Air India’s third evacuation plane, AI1940, took off from Budapest with 240 Indians and landed at Delhi airport around 9:20 a.m. on Sunday.

The move comes in the wake of a troubling development in Ukraine, in which Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered nuclear deterrent forces to be placed on a “special regime of combat duty”, possibly alluding to the readiness of tactical nuclear troops.

Since the start of the Russian military invasion on February 24, Ukrainian airspace has been blocked for civil aviation operations.

Sitharaman had offered a 50-year interest-free loan of Rs 1 lakh crore to states to enable them to spend capital investments, especially in infrastructure, under PM Gati Shakti’s master plan in 2022-2023. She had also proposed allowing states to run a budget deficit of 4% of gross state domestic product (GSDP) in 2022-23, of which 0.5% will be related to power sector reforms.

“…I applied for an interest free loan of Rs 1 lakh crore from the states under the capital grant. About Rs 3,800 crore to Rs 4,000 crore will come to the state,’ Bommai told reporters after the meeting.

He said he also discussed power sector issues with Sitharaman, and asked him to “renounce a 0.5% budget deficit on 4% of the GSDP which is linked to power sector reforms. electricity”, for which the conditions have already been communicated to the States in 2021-22.

Addressing the issue with Energy Minister RK Singh in a separate meeting, the CM informed him that the conditions imposed on discoms are too many for the first year and must be relaxed so that companies can obtain bank loans.

“I asked him to waive certain conditions that will allow discoms to benefit from bank loans,” he added.

In a meeting with Mandaviya, Bommai discussed the COVID-19 situation and asked for a higher allocation of the special funds earmarked for health infrastructure development to fight the pandemic. He said the Minister of Health had accepted this request.
